Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Involve in the month end and quarter end close process by performing accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis, in compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies and SOX
Track and review catalog costs recorded to the balance sheet for proper coding, and classification, completeness and accuracy, and recognize expense in alignment with Accounting policy
Prepare account reconciliations within Blackline, ensuring all items are supported and properly classified in accordance with company policies and GAAP; make recommendations to management when discrepancies are found
Provide analysis related to key accounts to ensure accurate results have been recorded
Coordinate with cross-functional partners to facilitate streamlined processes
Facilitate external audit “prepared-by-client” (PBC) requests for financial and SOX audits, as well other ad-hoc accounting requirements such as statutory audits
Assist with providing support and preparing financial statements for international STAT audits, including coordination with auditors
Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures as assigned
Proactively identify process inefficiencies and offer suggestions for improvements
Perform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requested

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
4+ years’ Accounting experience

Required Skills

A mix of publicly-listed or high-growth company and public accounting is highly desire
Multi-currency and intercompany accounting experience preferred
Solid working knowledge and application of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX/Internal controls
Experience in Microsoft with a strong emphasis on Excel is a must
Oracle ERP and Blackline experience a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
Self-starter with a successful record of working independently as well as working closely with other team member
